Montana Vehicle Vanity Plate Form

See the requirements below. We recommend selecting 6 options in case your first choice is not available. You will have to explain the meaning for each plate option per DMV requirements.

Unless you are a Montana resident, you will not be able to get a Veteran or Handicap plate.

• Must have at least 2 alpha-numeric characters and cannot be all spaces or all numbers.

• The letter "O" cannot be used. The numeric "0" will be substituted for the alpha "O."

• Characters can be repeated.

• Using an ampersand character (&) for "and" is allowed. No other symbols are allowed.

• Each space will be counted as a full character.

• Spaces cannot be used at the beginning or end

• The DMV may reject any combination of letters or numbers that may carry connotations offensive to good taste and decency or which are misleading or are already taken.

• Custom backgrounds/designs are not currently available for motorcycles
