FinCEN BOI Reporting for all LLC’s
UPDATE: As of 3/3/25, enforcement of BOI reporting has been suspended by the US Treasury. There is no requirement to file at this time.
As of February 19, 2025, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has reinstated the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements for US entities, including LLCs. This initiative aims to combat financial crimes and comes with significant penalties for non-compliance.
That means if you’ve registered your vehicles under an LLC, you must file the BOI report.
Frankly, we’re not fans of asking you to deal with additional forms. If there was a way for us to handle this on your behalf, we would.
The good news is, it’s free and simple to get the filing done. And you only have to do it ONCE.
Filing Options:
Do It Yourself for Free: The government offers a no-cost option for filing the BOI report directly through their website HERE. It’s straightforward and doesn’t take much time, especially if you have a simple one-owner LLC setup. We created a step by step guide HERE to assist you.
Done For You with FincenFetch: To make this process as simple as possible, we found a done for you service called FincenFetch, which offers a streamlined service for just $149.99. If you don’t want to file yourself, this service ensures a hassle-free experience, saving you time and effort.
Important Note: Filing the BOI report does not require an Employer Identification Number (EIN). The key requirement is to accurately list each member who owns or controls your LLC, ensuring full compliance without additional tax identification details.
Use your SSN as the tax identification type and tax identification number if you haven’t applied for an EIN.
Deadlines to Remember:
LLCs created before 2025 must file by March 21st, 2025
LLCs created in/after 2025 have 90 days to file
When filing the report, you will need to enter our FINCEN ID of 3000-0009-4301 which will be done in the company applicant section, and your tax identification type and number will be your SSN (unless you applied for an EIN).
