Required in the following situations:
Vehicles 1996 and newer with a non-17 digit VIN
Vehicles 14 years old or less that are using our 2009+ Titling service which provides a Montana Bonded Title
The inspecting officer must write the year, make, model, color, VIN, mileage (If applicable), and explain where the VIN is located. They must also sign the form, list their name, the current date, badge number, and department name.
