Before you get started, read below for some things you need to know:

• You cannot be financing your vehicle to use this service

• If your title is from Georgia, it is most likely invalid and you will need to select the bill of sale option instead

You’ll be getting a Montana registration, title, & two license plates for your mini truck which comes with a Montana LLC.

Sales tax for Montana is 0%, which means if you haven’t paid tax, you will not have to pay it, which means significant savings for you.

Vehicles 11 years old and older (2013 and older as of 1/1/24) get a permanent plate, so you never have to worry about remembering to renew the registration

"How can I get an out-of-state registration without being a resident?"

Simple.

Montana allows you to register from anywhere, but only if you’re a resident of Montana or a Montana business owner. Therefore, we set you up with a Montana LLC and register your vehicle using your LLC as the owner instead of you. The LLC meets Montana’s residency requirement, and because the LLC is a resident of Montana, and you own the LLC, you can drive in other states with out-of-state plates.

We’ll set up your Montana LLC instantly after receiving your order and it will get approved within 1 business day.

Once we receive your documents, here’s the time frame you can expect:

• 4-6 weeks to get your license plates and registration. Your title will arrive 6-8 weeks later.

  • As of February 2024, orders are taking up to 6 weeks due to the DMV being short-staffed, so we are providing a free 40-day temp tag shortly after sending your documents to the DMV for processing. 

  • If you want a temp tag right away, you can purchase it by selecting "Yes, please send me a temp tag" when placing your order.

Here are the documents to have ready

For us to register your vehicle, we require one of the following:

• A valid title in your name

• A title that has been signed over to you

  • If the title was issued in Kentucky, Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, or Pennsylvania, ensure that the seller has had the title notarized before sending it to us

• A bill of sale only if that’s all you have

Additionally, the title must not be labeled as 'junk' or 'salvage'. Rebuilt is okay.

If your title is from Georgia, you will most likely owe additional fees, as the title has most likely been voided due to their recent ban on Mini Trucks explained here.

Renew Your Montana LLC/Vehicle Registration

You will need to renew your LLC each year for $125, which we can handle for you here.

For vehicles newer than 11 years old, you need to also renew your vehicle’s registration each year, but we’ve made it super easy so you don't have to deal with the hassle of contacting the DMV and sitting on hold for hours.

All you need to do is sign up for our auto-renewal program. Once you’re enrolled, we’ll automatically process your renewal when it’s time for you to renew.

That means whether you’re busy or have more important things to worry about, your registration renewal will automatically show up at your doorstep right when you need it! Simple.

Temp Tag (Get on the road without the wait)

After you add a 40-day temp tag to your order, it will be emailed to you within 1-3 business days so that you can start driving right away while we work on registering your vehicle with the DMV.

All you’ll need to do is print and laminate the tag, attach to your vehicle, and you’re ready to ride.

Personalized Plate

When you add a personalized plate to your order, we’ll automatically email an online form to complete so you can customize the characters and/or background on your license plate.

Once your order is processed by the DMV, you'll receive a 40-day temp tag until your custom plate arrives.
